Welcome to My Brother's Keeper

Welcome and thank you for visiting our web site today.

My Brother’s Keeper is an organization created by Isidore Newman student, Princeton Carter.  Going to school in the downtown New Orleans area Princeton noticed that there were many homeless families and military veterans living under the bridges near the New Orleans Superdome.  In an effort to do something to help the homeless, Princeton created “My Brother’s Keeper.“  My Brother’s Keeper was created with the mission to help bring hope to the homeless, military veterans, women and children in the New Orleans and surrounding communities who are in need.

Your support is greatly appreciated as we empower the less fortunate in our community who face homelessness.  Homelessness is a reality for many Americans, even in our own backyards.  Please help us bring hope and comfort to the homeless in our community.  Each of us coming together to help really does make the difference.

Our Mission

My Brother’s Keeper Newman is a non-profit initiative created in cooperation with Isidore Newman Upper School and Newman’s Action Committee as a public service initiative dedicated to helping the homeless and veterans in need.  It is estimated that almost 7,000 people in the New Orleans metro area are homeless.  According to the National Alliance to End Homelessness, this is the second-highest rate of homelessness in the nation.  We will strive to help the homeless obtain a few of the life sustaining items they need for survival.  Thank you for your generous support.

“Separate we are weak, but working together we are strong!”
